hi yaa all, so i am going to buy a new graphics card and i wanted to know which one should i go for my budget is below 100$, so plz suggest which one should i go for, and which one is the best value for money Graphic card in the market below 100$ ? Thanks
I assume this is US dollars? Best card for $100 US is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102824
yes it is 100 US$ also i was searching i came across this graphic card for under a 100 bucks http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...&cs=19&c=us&l=en&dgc=SS&cid=39715&lid=1003769 Which one do u think is better Sapphire or Galaxy?
Board partner irrelevant, the HD4850 is a much better card than the 9600GT. In any case, the reason that 9600GT is so expensive is because it's designed for micro slimline PCs, not standard desktops.
but i was comparing both there specs, and spec wise 9600 is above radeon then how come it is inferior to Sapphire it's maximum core speed is 1.8 ghz whereas that of sapphire is 900 Mhz, i am confused
No, the core speed of graphics cards is irrelevant, the internal architecture is what matters, and trust me, the HD4850 absolutely destroys the 9600GT. The HD4830, the budget version of the 4850, even beats the 9800GT, the much more powerful variant of the 9600GT. The maximum core speed of the 9600GT by the way is 650mhz, not 1800. 1800mhz is the memory speed (and the memory speed of the HD4850 is 1986mhz - so it uses higher clock speeds anyway)
ok thanks man u were a great help, hey do u think there is any chance that the prices might come down around holiday season?
It's possible since the new generation of graphics cards will be released about the same time as Windows 7 (end of October to start of November), and after that happens, the price of these graphics cards may well drop, which will mean you can get something more powerful for $100.
No problem, when you do come to finally order a graphics card, however, post back here, as what's good value now may not be good value then. (Online shops are known to keep old stock and not lower its price if it doesn't sell)
ok will do that for sure !!! however that a new bit of information that i didn't know, i am thinking of buying it from a retail store though coz i have had a few issues in the past with online products, and plus i can always bargain a bit with a retail store but with online stores it's a flat price + some hidden costs(shipping + insurance) and with the experience i have had i wouldn't buy anything without an insurance, call me old fashioned but i like retail stores better than online shopping.
but i have been buying from gamestop for quite some time so they offer me great prices, i wonder i f i can buy a graphic card from gamestop?
As far as I'm aware Gamestop do not stock graphics cards (it's worth pointing out, buying PC hardware from a retail store is not the same as buying video games or DVDs). The typical stores for this are Best Buy and Micro Center.
ok so best buy it is i got a friend who works at best buy maybe he can get me a good deal, u know what they say: in life relationships always come in handy
LOL, yaa that one is a real catchy version !!! Cool!!! i just got of the phone with him he quoted me a price of 90$ max and thats only because i am his friend, i think i am going to squeeze a better price out of him since his dad owns the store, he must get it for way cheaper HEHEHE
