Graphic Cards

    Are all AGP 8x 1.5v? if yes, how would u know if ur motherboard is agp 8x? What the heck does the "v" stand for? Lastly, does any of u guys know a great place (website) to buy graphic cards?

    alot of graphic cards are agp 4x,, , and in the mobo description it will say,, and in the graphic description it will say.. newegg.com xpcgear.com and zipzoomfly.com are all great websites to buy hardware

    the 1.5v stands for 1.5 volts needed for the videocard. check your motherboard manual or user guide for what speed agp is on your board

    let me explain it more, my motherboard can support agp 8x and i found a vdeo card that is agp 8x and i.5 v. So i wanted to know if all agp 8x vido cards are 1.5 v?

    i 4got 2 ask, but how do u check what motherboard u have?

    1: user guide
    2: motherboard manual
    3: printed on motherboard itself not on chips, usually in between the pci slots
    4: top left & bottom left corners of post screen

    Finally i got some more info., well, i have a ASUS A7V8X-LA motherboard and will that be compatible with ANY AGP 8x Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT? IF not, what can i do to make it compatible (such as buying a new motherboard)?

    So any 6800 GT will work? if yes, do u think i should get more memory ram 4 my pc cause i only have 512 mb and i want to upgrade it 2 1024 mb?

    card should work with no problem. as for ram, it depends on what you are using the computer for

    Alright thanks alot DDP! I was worried about it, i really want 2 get at least a 6800 video card, but i had doubts that my pc can handle it.

    DDP, so as long as the video card is agp 4x/8x, my motherboard cna support it?
