are both programs up to date? clonedvd2 is 2.8.9.9 anydvd is 6.0.1.1 ,theres no specail protection on this movie .this combo worked for me fine .cyclic redundancy usally means you have a bad dvd/bad pressing try another dvd. make sure your firmware is up to date on your drive also

See if you get the same error when using DVDFab Decrypter it will break the encryption while putting the movie onto your HDD then use clonedvd2 and see if the same thing happens, if it does then it is like what aabbccdd said bad pressed dvd. If you can exchange it.

EDIT: Always use high quality blank discs like Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim

firmware is what controls your drive .yes maxell is good media .and yes the speed you burn at def. makes a difference DONT burn above 8x start out at 4x you can set it in clonedvd 2 on the third screen

dvd write "preferred speed" set it at 4x

at default it will run at max speed you dont want that
