[bold]god,i am on one today[/bold] but i am getting to hate that site,i know its all voluntary, but that site and its auctions really gets my goat over priced garbage,(most of it),what with its over-inflated postage costs, that sellers seem increasly tend not be bothered what they charge,if they can get away with it.. for example,i recently had a ps2 memory card crash on me... so i thought "ahh" ....."i know...ebay" !!! how wrong was i???,the average price was at least a tenner (£10),just for a card, and then on top of that, some of the cheeky nutters wanted £8 postage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean get real, its about the size peanut, and they would probably send it second class,in some ropey old envelope, tied up with fishermans string, they found on the beach i know the postage is clearly displayed, and its out choice to buy or not to buy,but for crying out loud, where is the morals??? in the end,i bought what i wanted at a much cheaper price, and it was brand new, from some dodgy looking site off the net, whether i get it,only time will tell what do guys/girls think?? [bold]is ebay becoming the fastest rip off in town[/bold] [bold]or is it ALREADY the biggest rip off[/bold] or [bold]we made it the way it is,so its our fault[/bold] ???? personally,i blame it on the price of fish,if that wasnt so expensive, then all would be good hehehe
Just remember this, hursty, (while you're busy hating e-bay) that . . . Gravity is a myth . . . the Earth sucks ALSO . . . in my opinion, e-bay is a dumping ground for crap that nobosy needs or wants anymore
My mom gets most of her crap off of there and if it's used it falls apart fast and if its in a wrapper then be careful. THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY!
ebay used to be the ultimate online 'cash & carry' loadsa descent stuff. now you have to search hard to find anything remotely good. no offence here, but is is plagued with a load of chinese fraud offers like i saw 'brand new ipod 60 gb boxed - but it now' for £79.99 shipped from hong-kong... hmm, when hell freezes over. also, i don't like the powersellers - have been ripped off twice. it's best to deal with someone from the country you are at and it's best to email them a lot beforehand. i always ask 21 questions b4 i buy!
I don't go there much anymore. I have a certain crankbait that has been discontinued,so I keep my eye out for them at ebay. Found only 1 of them in over a year and a half!! I've gotten quite of bit of my pc parts there like ram, hard drive, software, and fans, but I am always cautious of their overall feedback. What ticks me off is when they advertise a dvd-rw drive for only 99 cents. Then you look at the shipping and it says $80! WTF! I wonder how many suckers they took on that deal!
i dont use ebay i think some of the stuff on there is a reasonable price but id rather pay a bit more and buy the stuff brand new with a warrenty.plus i dont trust my computers security and i dont have a credit card anyway.A credit card is the easiest way to get in debt.
ebay is the devil's own "gift" to give to the world, i for one have been scammed twice so far and i've been a member for over 5 years~ whether they "powersellers" or not, i feel the outrageous shipping prices for these 1 cent/99 cent auctions is ridiculous if you look high and low and search for items that you want (from your OWN country of course), things should go well with a seller that has high feedback (feedback score DOES count for something)...also, check his/her past sales to see what types of items they were selling, the people that sell "online pc game" armor/items/magical incantations/spells to "Add to your character" in said game are SHADY... long time ago i did not notice this but only saw his 300+ feedback with a score of like 96%, so i bought some computer parts off of him...was unfortunately scammed to the tune of about $3,000 U.S. dollars, and i have YET to receive a response from the FBI as i reported him shortly after a month with NO CONTACT/DELIVERY of said goods...a month is MORE than enough time to deliver something...i learned my lesson... so, be careful guys/gals when shopping on ebay, SOMETIMES, you could really find some good deals, but observe the description/details of the auction carefully, so you don't fall for the same $hit i did a few years ago...if that dude ever comes to Los Angeles, he's going to be in a WORLD of hurt...while my gun collection is NOT as great as nephs', im getting there...got myself a Tec-9, semi- automatic...pretty nice in my opinion...
but your surgical knives could do a mean carving of his body to last rest of his life if lives that long!!
you are quite right about that ddp, however, rather than scarring him for life, i'd rather see him dead~ mean aren't i? LOL
there are plenty of people who make a livig off e-bay though. my father in law buys so much crap, then tunrs around and sells as quick as he buys. i think to date, and its not long, like 3 months now on e-bay, he has made over $3k so far, thats an additional $1k a month extra money. i don't buy off e-bay often, but its fun to search to see whats out there too.
Well for me its all i have for most stuff, as i live with my parents in a small-medium town, and they wouldnt want to drive 2-3 hours to the city just for something i wanted from a store there. So ebay is pretty good for some stuff i need that i cant get here, like some dvds, games, etc
in that case alien, send me $$$$ to my pay pal account, i'll hook you up with all my crap i don't need anymore, plus my wife has alotta junk too. you need a tread mill? need a a/v receiver? need a bike? heck, want a mustang??? you got $$$
i remembered i think it's last year when i bought a cell phone off a phone with 99% satisfaction rate and guess what the cell phone sux the battery life only lasted only 30min every full charge and when i asked for a refund the throw me shit loads of excuses and it's only 50dollar so i just forget about it, but it's my first bidding from ebay it was an bad first impression.
grrr, like i thought, its a worldwide disaster, and one of the largest/quickest growing companys, makimg over 600,000,000 a year a friend of mine missus works from home full time, she makes £35,000 a year, buying stuff from hong kong/china etc,and selling it on ebay, alf of it useless TAT so who's the mug's....must be us,cause it sure aint her b*****d's
yeah its def. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK site . i buy alot of music off e-bay and havent been burnt to many time but a few so asked lots of questions and never buy big ticket items .man that really sucks Kivory 3000 dollars damn ,i have a Colt 45 you can borrow LOL
no worries aabbccdd, i have a tec-9 and my trusty glock along with some other "pieces" that will do the job quite nicely, also have MANY surgical steel scalpels at my disposal~ no worries...i hope the FBI tracks this fool down and put him in jail before i find him, cuz he'll be dead before FBI get to him if i find him first~ and yes, i have learned my lesson...don't trust ANYONE on ebay, so proceed with caution...
My experience with eBay has been good so far. I live in the UK and will only buy items from sellers that also live in the UK. If i'm interested in an item I first look at location, then feedback (Sometimes if negative feedback has been left the seller will respond to it. Occasionaly it's an idiot buyer who leaves negative feedback for no reason, so in that case that should be ignored.) Then how many transactions they have carried out, cost of postage and packing and finaly what payment methods they accept. Usually PayPal is the prefered method but if someone only accepts cash or cheque then I would avoid. Also if anyone is looking for brand new items type in the words "factory sealed", "sealed" or "unopened". This is a good way to find brand new music, dvd's and video games. Sometimes the seller even posts a pic of the item so you know what you are getting. I know in America most media is still sealed where as in Europe and the UK it isnt.
I made my first purchase, probably the only one, on Ebay on the 9th of last month. Received notification that my DVD was shipped on the 19th and contacted the seller on the 29th and was told "Mail delivery in my area is bad because ot the storms (that haven't hit this part of FLA this year)." Did receive the "Video Copied" DVD on the 4th. Well at least it wasn't (ha ha) a $2000 potato that looks like Jay Leno when it was supose to look like Elvis.
