Is it possible to copy the new maps to your HDD and launch them using halo 2 on dvd(french leaked version).Im asking this because when i copied the maps to my HDD and try to play them throught the dvd it did not work but when i copied halo 2 to my hdd and replaced the default.xbe with the one in the map pack it worked fine.Im using the 8 gb HDD and i really dont want halo 2 on it i want to be able to play it through DVD is there a way to play the maps through dvd.
For Halo 1 yes, you can play modded maps on your backup copy. But for Halo 2 I do not believe you can play your modded maps off of a DVD-5 disc, only off of the HD or a DVD-9 disc.
Yes you can play all 9 new maps from a backup copy of Halo 2. here is a link to guide you. I did it in two stages by installing the first 4 maps using this guide then I downloaded the Maptacular Pack which has all 9 and burnt the iso to disc and installed the last 5 that way. here is the link http://netsyndrome.net/halo2maps.php I downloaded the latest maps on "edonkey2000" by searching "Maptacular Pack".
