halo2 mods?

do i have to pay for halo2 mods or can i just get them in a program like the Halo1 cache editor?

you probably downloaded a patch for a map so you need to find out if it is a serenity or a ppf. if it is a serenity you need to download a serenity patcher. you can just google that. if it is a ppf you can use dot halo and just click patch ppf. you also need to have the map that you are trying to mod. if you are able to patch the map you have to resign it. i think i use cmr map resigner. just do a google search for that. if u need more help just ask me.

you can put halo 2 in the disc tray then when you ftp look in d drive and get the map
