Halo2 Softmodding .Map files located on HDD

Okay, so I have Dot Halo, ppf-o-matic3, lots of .ppf files, Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v2.11.Final, and Action Replay. I'm trying to figure out how to get the .map files. I tried transferring them to action replay but theres no copy option. I really need help on getting the .map files, that's all I need help with, because I think I understand everything else. I would really appreciate your help.

dude jus ftp them from ur xbox to ur computer

 

how do I do that? I don't have a modchip in my xbox.

do I need to forward any ports on my router? And once I get my IP address's matched and the cables connect via router, how do I FTP them?

Your xbox needs to be modded to be able to ftp.

 

once u ftp

go to E

open TDATA

open the file 4d530064

open $c

your maps will be in a three different folders.

the first(4d53006400000001) contains containment and warlock.

second(4d53006400000002) has deltatap(sanctuary) and turf.

third(4d53006400000003) includes Dune(relic), Gemini, backwash, triplicate(terminal), and elongation.

 

okay but I'm still having troubles FTP'ing. Do you have to have a modchip to FTP? I have the original dashboard does it need to change? I have a DI-614+ and MN-700 routers, which is best to use? Do I need to forward any ports on my router? And once I go to network connections and since i have my local area connection and my wireless network connection bridged, do I right click on the bridge choose properties and change the IP through the Internet Protocol inside properties? If so what do I enter for all the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway, and the DNS? Then once I have those entered what do I enter in my xbox's network settings?

wow just get evox/unleash on ur xbox(thats only tghing u use action replay for, to get the linux file for w/e game ur using: mek assault, splinter cell, or 007) then have either direct connect to ur xbox w/ crossover or have them in the same modem local area. set ur local area to 192.168.0.1 and press tab, the next row should show up 255.255.255.o, and ur xbox w/ evox should automatically be set to 192.168.0.3, if its not set it to that. now in flash fxp create a site, the ip is 192.168.0.3, the name is xbox, pass is xbox and thats it click connec and ur set. and btw just applying ppfs can show how much of a loser u r, unless u plan to learn to mod.

wow, omg. It's so much easier than what I thought. OMG, I can't believe it, someone actually explained it very well in this forum with the topic "Softmodding made easy". But what's better evox or unleashedx?

 

only fate can decide if u use evox or unleashx.... the world is mysterious. but i used evox in case u wanted to kno.

 

unleashx is more userfriendly so if u are new to modding then go with that.
It also lets u copy small games.^_^

 

what do you mean lets you copy small games? My black hawk down disc has been acting up lately and I might need to make a back up copy of it, what dashboard do you think would be best, evox or unleashx? Also do I use Dvd decryptor to decrypt the game to an .iso file than burn the image with alcohol or nero? And does anyone have the mechassault linux installer that you use to install from action replay?

 

With unleashx it lets u copy any game to your harddrive as long as there is room.
Also u dont have to do anything with an iso just find the copy disk option andcopy it.
if it dosnt fit than i will guide u through using file explorer to cut down the size of the gameand make it fit.
Just get on aim if u need the help.

 

I prefer evox but it's up to you. Computer drives can't read xbox games so asking if you should use DVD Decrypter and burn it with Alcohol 120% or Nero is really out of the question.
