I picked up a copy of Happily Never After and am trying to back it up. DVDShrink (latest version) won't read it. I tried DVD Decrypter to read as a file so that I could run it thru FixVTS, no luck. Ripit4Me also gets an error. I have Anydvd running as well although I turned it off for RipIt4Me. Can anyone tell me how to get past this so that I can back it up?
RipIt4me should handle this one - what error did you get? Did you try Decrypter w/ AnyDVD? Try DVDFab Decrypter to rip with then open those files in Shrink. It's a Sony w/ ARccOS and 13 bad sectors - not that bad at all
You're welcome godhead7 DVDFab Decrypter is still updated so you can use that link above to check for updates.
i had problems at first with this movie 2 days ago with ripit4me, then i ran it through fixvts and then shrinkdvd. it actually worked. but you have to make sure anydvd (which i have too) is disabled. the ripit4me has a cleanup and that does not work alone. you have to use the fixvts separate too and it will make a back up file, with that back up file use it in shrinkdvd.
I'm having a problem with this. At first I was using Decrypter and couldn't do anything with it. Then I finally got it to run with DVDFab Decrypter. I now have it saved as an ISO file and I went to use DVD Shrink on it and I get an error message. I'm new to all of this and I have no clue where to start to fix this. Can anyone help?
I click on open disc and bring it up off the G drive (using Daemon Tools). It runs to 66% on the initial load up before shrinking and then I get an error that says: "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue programming error-exception occured" Then after you close the error it gives you one of those error things you get when it says to send report (default error you get for most programs that mess up or freeze sometimes) or don't send.
Try just opening the iso w/o mounting it. File>open disc image. Still a no go then rerip the dvd in file mode w/ DVDFab HD - then open in Shrink (open files) DVDFab up to date? The latest is 3.1.5.0 - link
