    Hi

I'm new here so bear with me

I have been having a problem that I need a bit help with. My motherboard decide to go on the blink this week. Anyway I have managed to obtain a new one and get everything running.

I have just tried to fit my second hard disk (containing all my saved files) Each time I am trying to access it I am getting the following message

E:\\ is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect.

Just so you have a little background I had to repair my C:\\ drive today so I could install new video card (as my previous mother board had on board).

Has anybody got any suggestions - Im a bit reluctant to format my second drive and lose all the info and hope there is a quick fix

My thoughts would be to blow away the IDE channel the drive is on and let XP rebuild the connections. There may be a bios issue that we can work through easy aswell. The orginal drive it could matter how it was formatted, NTFS or FAT. Another issue that can be worked. Text takes time. Good luck
