Hard Drive Not Reading Correct Space

    I recently bought a new computer and when i installed windows xp i realized that my hard drive was not reading the correct amount of space. My hard drave is a Maxtor 120gb harddrive, but on windows xp it only reads 2.0bg. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

    I haf a similair problem with a slave HD I fitted that to was 120 gig but only shown up as 32 gig......firstly if you have 2 HD's are you sure that they are set up as master and slave??......also I had to switch My slave drive to cable select instead....
    what spec is your pc as ppl with far more knowledge than I will ask afore they can help fully what windows was on it before etc etc .....the more info ya give the more ppl can help you.....have you tried downloading maxblast and reformatting it??........also is your HD formatted as NAT or or NTFS
