Does a fast hard drive help when using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink? The WDC Raptor hard drives claim to be quicker, and SSCI is even faster.

you're hard drive is not the problem when it comes to ripping a DVD or re authoring a DVD using Shrink or DVDDecrypter. It's the DVD and how it reads from the drive that will determine how fast it can go. Writing to the hard drive is not that important as to speed! Make sure you disk is scratch/smudge free which will help in reading times for your drive.
