hard drive

    i have to hard drives that i can't get to boot and they just click do anyone have any suggestions who or where in the usa i can get this fixed

    You need to provide a lot more info about your computer (motherboard, memory, hdd types, any info that will help). also what is the computer doing completely wrong, step by step. thanks

    well the hard drives won't even come to the boot up screen and when you do try to start them it just makes a clicking sound i just want to if i can take somewhere to get it fixed or just get the info off of it.

    if its clicking then its toast and would cost in excess of a couple hundred bucks to recover the data if at all

    Rarely, clicking can be due to a bad controller chip on the mainboard or on the hard drive, sometimes even because of cables.

    If you have two drives that both do this, and they both started at the same time, and you are using different cables, this would seem to imply a problem with the mainboard. If you can, you should try to connect the drives to another mainboard or SATA controller.
