This needs urgent attention as im about to flash a x2.3 lite with Aid 3.04 bios flash menu. Will this be safe??? (i know the dangerss of flashing) but what can i expect from the moment i start the flash and how long is it gonna take, anty info will be great pleeeeease.
well as long as you choose the right bios you will be fine...*note* is the bios already flashed or is this the first time?
Hi theridges, the bios has once been flashed as i bought the box with it in, im a little sketchy on this as iv used the Aid disk to do this twice and it gets to erasing then does nothing! Any ideas please mate? cos i dont wanna end up with a fraggin box thats about as much use as a sunbed in the desert.... lol
If it's already been flashed successfully, I advise against doing it again. No point in reflashing if the current BIOS works just fine.
usually unless its a new generation chip you can only flash the chip once unless you have cromwell flash bios on one of the chips bios banks...
No worries gents THANX for all your help and advice, but I DONE IT. And i never ended up with a paper weight. yippy ki ya. Im nuff chuffed, i was dreading doing that but it worked out fine. theridges i must say you have been a great help for me ever since i become a member of AFTERDAWN, This place is a golden ticket!!!! and your the prize giver!!!! Cheers mate. YEEEEEEE ha!!!! LOL
