Hi, just yesterday I bought a 2nd hand xbox from a bootsale, bought for £20 and it had a chip installed, the reason I was told for it being sold is "just dont use it any more". so I plug it in and I get error 06 this chip is an executer 2 (see link for picture) http://www.xbox-scene.com/imageserver3/xecuter2.1/x22pro/22pro.jpg I'm gussing that error 06 is dash problems, and, as I have never played with any hardmod at all, I was wondering would xboxhdm be able to make a new drive with out the eeprom for this chipped xbox?
error 6 means the hdd is locked with the wrong eeprom. but considering you have a chip you can just setup a new drive with xboxhdm without locking it and it should work fine
Firstly, try holding the power button (little button) in for three seconds and see if it boots!? If still no luck, track down 'Slayers' boot disc and relock the drive!
