I've been using ConvertXtoDVD to convert my avi movies for a long time.
my latest avi has subs (srt format), plays fine on my pc with wmp 11 + wmp classic.
so i converted five minutes of the movie then stopped the conversion to test to see if the subs were there, but there not?.
so i was wondering if the subs will show up after i complete the conversion and burn to dvd, or should they have appeared in the small test file?.
    i'm using ConvertXtoDVD.2.0.13.128 and i have VobSub 2.23 installed.

The subs appear on your pc because you have the filters installed, they are being displayed from the sub file that is in your video files folder, when you convert to dvd you need to hardcode them into the video file. I believe there is a new feature in ConvertXtoDVD to do this, but I am not sure of it's usage, as I have never really used it much. You can hardcode them with Virtualdub, do a search.
