Copying a backed up DVD movie with DVD decrypter from a DVD-R using a Philips D28. i have tried to do 2 different movies and they both stop at 98%, after 20 retries it says cannot read, this also has happened with DVDXCOPY DVD Decrypter Error:- Stops at :- 20:15:43 Found BUP File: VTS_01_0.BUP - LBA: 2181014 Error ScsiStatus: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: 28 00 00 22 B6 F0 00 00 01 00 Interpretation: READ (10) - Sector: 2275056 Sense Area: F0 00 03 00 22 B6 F0 0C 00 00 00 00 11 00 Interpretation: Unrecovered read Error Abort Retry or Ignore Log Error: E 20:21:14 Failed to read Sector 2275056 - Unrecovered Read Error E 20:21:14 Failed to Extract Sectors! The copied media is perfect no scrathces at all.
I had a similar problem. I tried using smartripper and it worked then. Funny thing was, my actual dvdrom or dvdr/w had problems reading the disc, even though the disc was clean/no scratches, it played fine. Conclusion: It was down to the media, I changed it and no problems with dvd decrypter, smartripper or on the fly. Hope this helps.
thx for that, i actually tried DVDXCOPY again as this time i had new media and it worked. So far now problems at all with DVDXCOPY Will get a different batch next time and try DVD Decrypter. One thing i haven't tried is smartripper, i'll give that a shot soon. Regards
