Hi, this problem seems to be a silent plague around the internet from what I've seen. Everyone's been having issues with their own drives, the problem is: My drive does not read any discs whatsoever it used to but now it's just stopped, the computer recognizes the drive perfectly fine, but it doesn't read any discs. My drive is a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552L as I've said before, it used to work but it's just stopped. I've opened my computer up and checked to see if there were any loose cables, but I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable person there is when it comes to computers, but everything seems fine, I am desperate, I've heard that I should download Service Pack 3 but I want to hear other suggestions first, I'm new here so please don't hate me if this has already been posted.

What brand of discs are you using?
Could also be a driver issue. Uninstall the device in Device Manager and restart. See what happens then.
