When i try to lock my new hard drive for my xbox i always get the same message...drive on primary master is frozen. Am i doing something wrong?
Are the jumper settings on the hard drive correct? A lot of people seem to have this problem, it's pretty common. Also, how old is the drive, and if it's been around a while, did you try defragging and/or formatting(Not quick format) before using XBoxHDM(Assuming that's what you're using). OH! And did you check the XBox HDD compatibility list?
So, just to make sure I understand correctly, you said you're having trouble re-locking your stock drive, correct? What are your pc stats, and again, the jumper on the back of the drive, may need to be changed to function properly in your pc, I recall havingto do that with mine; but then again, there are different drives in each version, etc; so it may or may not be the case in your system. Check the info on jumper settings on top of your drive, and make sure the jumper is set specifically to primary master, and that your ide cables are set to function correctly as well. That can cause problems in some cases.
i recommend you use google and click on images to see what it looks like Im not saying that to insult you its just i dont know how to explain
