I am trying to encode a movie with dvd2avi. It encodes the movie and the .wav files, but the problem is that it is encoding the one movie into 2 .avi files (the first part of the movie and then the second part) and one .wav file. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have used dvd2avi before, and it worked fine, but this problem has happened with the last 2 movies I have encoded.
You might want to check out DGIndex, which is basically a newer version of DVD2AVI. You are actually using it for encoding though? Most people just use it to create d2v files.
I believe that "DVD2AVI" usually breaks up the AVI files into 4gb File sizes...You might be better off Makeing a D2V File and Loading the D2V file into Tmpgenc and setting it up like you were going to encode to AVI and save it as an AVI file this way you have access to all of tmpgenc"s Filters without haveing to encode to Mpeg.... You could also Make a D2V file and then Load the D2V file into the "VFAPI Converter" which will make a Psudo AVI file from the D2V then you can Load the Psudo AVI into Virtual-Dub and save as a Real AVI..... There are also many other ways to go from Mpeg-2/Vob to AVI.... Cheers
I was more thinking of frameserving with AVISynth via DGDecode. VFAPI means a forced RGB24 colourspace conversion.
