hd dvd conversion

    is there a software that can make old dvds look like hd or make them atleast fit into a hd tv?

    There are dvd plays and blu ray players that upconvert them in playback to make them look closer to HD. My blu ray player ups regular DVD's to 1080i. That is about as close as it gets with no effort on my part. The player must be hooked up through HDMI to get the best resolution.
