I got a brand new Sapphire HD3870 512MB GDDR4 or 3 I am not sure and I tried overclocking it with the catalyst control center and it always says current clock speed 300Mhz and current memory speed 1126Mhz which are the minimum on the slider. I had it overclocked to 875Mhz and 1326Mhz and the tests passed. On the internet, it was advertised that the clock speed of this card was 777Mhz and 2000 some MHz. Also, the maximum the slider goes for memory clock is 1387Mhz so I dont know why it was advertised at 2000+Mhz
If there's something I'm missing here please tell me or did ATI (sapphire) rip me off, I knew I should've gotten a 9800GTX :p

Calm down. When it's not playing a game, the 3870 underclocks itself to save power and run cooler.
The 9800GTX is still a faster card than the 3870, but you weren't ripped off, well, that depends how much you paid for it of course.
The HD4850 is faster than either and last time I checked was similarly priced to the 9800GTX.
