Hey not sure if this goes in this forum but oh well. I have a ticking Hdd and im not sure if u can recover any files off the it. My question is there a site or does some one have the default files that have to be on the drive for it to function normally?
No its unmodded. The hdd is ticking which means the the r/w head is hitting the paltters. Even if i could get any info off the drive i have a sinking feeling that the data is going to be unusable. All i need are the default files( that come on the hdd to begin with) so i can put the files on the new HDD and lock it so i can use the box again.
if it's a stuck harddrive and you don't have your EEPROM a new drive and the C/E folders ain't gonna help you. you'll need to have the EEPROM to lock the new drive, you can make/get an EEPROM reader but a chip is by far the easiest fix for the problem. be weary of folks on here who'll spam you trying to sell you a chip, they've already been banned from the site many times this week......and now he's back and posting in this thread kc
usually you can find them hosted by someone or off a torrent site, I've never looked as i ALWAYS backup the files when i do a mod. kc
Ya well as i stated b4 didnt mod this 1 hdd just crashed. Any one hosting thise folders now or know where to search for the torrent. I've already searched bit lord and torrent spy and came up with nothing. Anybody?????

you can search around the other XBOX forums and there are links in allot of the tutorials but when they've been hosted on a free server most get deleted after periods of inactivity. I'd say your best option on finding a working link would be xbox hq. kc
