HDD Locked Error 06

Hello,

I have an 80gb hd on my xbox this hd works fine. I have my original xbox hd and yesterday I installed a fresh copy of the last ms dashboard. (I want to be able to play on live). The problem is I got error 06. This error appears when the xbox cannot unlock the hard drive. I must have locked it with a different eeprom than the one I have for my xbox (it works because I used it on my 80gb hd). Well anyway I have a bit of a problem because I can´t do a hot swap because my xbox doesn´t unlock this hd and there is no way my computer can recognize this hd. XBOXSCENE is the master password but I have no way of entering the password. Is there any way I can enter this password(remember my xbox won´t unlock it because I may have used an eeprom that wasn´t mine)? If I use linux as an OS can I fix this? Thanks.

 

Just use xboxhdm 1.9, use option 3 and then type "unlock -a", ensure that your eeprom disc is in the drive!

 

if you don't have the EEPROM that locked it, you won't be unlocking it.

I have the eeprom in a file in my computer but its not the one used by my xbox.

 

again IF the EEPROM is not the one that locked the drive, it ain't gonna unlock it. and if that ain't the EEPROM from YOUR box then locked it's useless to your box.
