HDMI Problem

    I just bought a AR PR-185 Pro II Series HDMI cable off of ebay and when i hook it up to my Lg Upconversion dvd player (model #lda-511) the screen just keeps flashing black over and over every couple of seconds then ultimately the dvd player like resets itself although when i hook it up regular via red white and yellow cables all is fine do you guys thinks its the cord or what

    by the way i can see the picture and the dvd playing but it constantly flashes black

    possibly a defective cable...

    do you have your tv set to hidef?
    some have that option.
    make sure the signal in corrosponds to the input in.

    I have the exact same problem. I called LG tech support and they confirmed it is a bug, but only suggested that I return the device to where I bought it.

    I'd rather have some sort of fix, but I am unable to find any work around or firmware upgrades.
