I have downloaded HDTV files in the past and they come up to about 175MB. Recently I decided to try this myself. I record programmes myself in .ts format and try and convert it using SUPER. However the quality is nowhere near the quality that I see other encoders get. I use Xvid or Divx option in SUPER and reduce the resolution to about 720x576. I use the Mencoder. Are there any other free or if not really good encoders that handle .ts files and encode with good quality? I can use either Linux or Windows.
Try AGK. Set a custom output size in the main window. In 'Advanced Settings' select the resolution. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/autogk.cfm
Yes I have already found AutoGk and the video quality I have obtained is superb. However : http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/772068#4674137 If you have any experience please post either there or here so I can fix it up!
I ever used a converter called SPAM video converter pro. SPAM is able to convert almost all formats to HDTV. Just click one button, the conversion can be finished soon. The output video is very clear to watch. To download this all in one converter, go to here: SPAM removed
