Looking at just decent 5.1 speakers(cheaper) and for a pc, these are what I'm looking for: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121006 How do I hook this set up to my tv though? It's a 40'' samsung lcd flatscreen with the red/white audio out ports and an optical audio out. Is it even possible to get actual 5.1 sound from just the red/white ports?
you can hook it into ur tv with the cable that comes with them but you wont get surround sound you will get stereo , the connection is the same as an ear phone one, i have a logitech set similar but use them in the radio instead
