cant find the rigth place to post this so im just hoping 4 the best

One of my hard disk (200G) is full with HDTV movies

so i want to burn them to DVD9 disk and found a HDTV application " HDTVtoMPEG2" its very, very nice for ts files

    FREE WEAR HDTVtoMPEG2 v1.11.89
    http://www-personal.umich.edu/~balazer/HDTVtoMPEG2/

and if its under 8,5G i split them in 100MB pieces and burn them to dvd9 as data and play it in the pc/dvd drive with theater tek...

but here is my problem...its playing...but not so good as if i play them from harddisc...why is that ?

has it something to do with the dvd drive speed ?

    thanks

I'm guessing it would be. The harddisk has immediate acess to the files, while the data rate is limited on a DVD. What are the bitrates on the videos?
