I would like to use my noise cancelling headphones, but I am faced with a problem. There is no headphone jack on my keyboard, monitor, or anywhere on my speakers/powered subowoofer. I have searched numerous times and cannot find one. The only possible place would most likely be the back of the sound card, but this is located behind my tower in a very hard to reach place. This would most likely work, but I haven't bothered to try since I do not have any headphones with a wire long enough to reach. There is however, a headphone jack on my CD R drive which is inside my tower. I have heard that the only way to use this jack is by inserting a CD into this drive, but I was not sure if this is true. So my question is, is there anyway to use this jack? Or is it only for CD's in this drive. I would like to use it, but I cannot find any way for it to work. I would like to know if there is anyw ay to use this jack. Any help is appreciated.
Its only for cds (or atlease on all of my computers it is) I can though suggest you just get a wire extension cable to hook up to your sound card and then easily connect and disconnect your headphones. Try one like this. You can find them on ebay for pretty cheap
That's another thing I was thinking of. Thanks for the help. I'll look into getting one sometime soon.
