Ok I have download the TMPGEnc and I have problem. When I’m converting avi to mpeg there is no sound.but when I’m converting WMV to mpeg there is a sound.can you help me?
Did you check if the sound are in OGG format or AC3??? To check it use the program GSPOT (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm) You can found more details about this here: http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/divx_to_vcd.cfm
Sounds like you might be missing an audio codec? For a complete listing of almost every codec required to watch a movie and the order to install them in... pay a visit to http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/48608
As Most Poeple who are well aquainted with Tmpgenc Know that It has Problems decodeing AC3 audio and VBR MP3 audio...If the audio in the AVI file is AC3 then it is easilly fixed because there is now an AC3 decoder that works with Tmpgenc for decodeing AC3 audio, it can be found here... http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/AC3ACM/AC3ACM.zip After installing this Tmpgenc can decode AC3 and so can other VFW Programs.... If the Audio is VBR MP3 then that is a Bit trickyer cuz even when it is extracted properly it can still sometimes Loose length and cause sync problems, So I find it is best to use the "Decompress.exe" program that comes with AVI2VCD to decompress the audio.....You can get AVI2VCD here: http://home.cogeco.ca/~avi2vcd/rq4dl/avi2vcd_ver1_4_2.zip Just Take out the Decompress.exe file and delete the rest....Cheers
