Wondering if any of you guys might be able to help me out.

Recently (in the past few months) something has changed on my PC. Almost every single WMV video file plays choppy and slow (but the sound is ok) in Windows Media Player.

I am running Windows XP SP2 and Win Media Player v 10.

I tried upgrading to MP V 11, installing Divx codec, etc.........Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and no luck.

Watching performance on task manager shows my CPU pegged quite a bit at or right under 100% on these poroblem movies....Is it possible that certain types of codecs or encoding or something could do that? I am only running on a P2 350 so I guess its possible.

you have a very low processor I would avoid any hd content divx files other than that you should be ok but as I mentioned a recent update forced me to reinstall my entire system to get my videos running properly
