Hi everyone, I am a problem at the moment and wonder if anyone can help. My computer was working fine last night, but this morning it wont boot. The system stops after the memory check, the computer hangs there and wont go any further. Because of my graphics card takes a while to put stuff on my screen, the first thing I see on screen is where my computer hangs. I cant get into BIOS setting or bypass the memory check as pressing DEL and ESC furiously does nothing. I have unplugged all my hard drives and optical drives. Still the same thing. I took out memory and computer wont start, it just swtiches off 2 seconds after I turn on power. However, during all of this, the power and harddrive LEDs are on. I wonder if anyone has had the same experience, and can point out to me whether it can be the memory, motherboard, CPU or graphics card causing the problem. I prefer not to have it inspected by a technician as it costs more than a new CPU. I have gigabyte G7AVC motherboard, AMD Athlon 2000+ CPU, 512 MB of no name RAM and ATI radeon 9200 vid card. Any help is greatly appreciated.
