Hi, I downloaded a 2.3gig video, in 1280 x 720 resolution and i want to burn it to play on by Divx player. Its already an .avi file and from properties it shows the "Video Compression" is Divx.

So i burned it normally, using Nero as a DVD-ROM (UDF), and it didnt play ( This file format cannot be played ), i tried burning the video via the option in the Divx Player, still didnt work. I converted to a .divx using Divx Converter, burned it, and still didnt work. HELP !!!

Im burning it on to a 4.7 gig Sony DVD-RW, and it works fine when i burn other smaller videos ( around 700 meg ) Ive compared the properties of the video that doesnt work againt one that does, and the only differences are "Video Sample Size" , "Bit Rate" and "Width and Height" although the video that does work, has an extra row labled "Data Rate"

I checked the manual of the player ( Which is a Sony HXD870 ) and it says for it to be able to read the Divx: must be recorded according to ISSO9660 Level 1, Level2, Romeo, Joliet or UDF 1.02, 1.50, 2.00 or 2.01

    Hope someone can help !!

Well some players don't like UDF for data, however that wouldn't be the issue here. Your problem would be the resolution, most players can handle 720x576 max.
