I downloaded the trial version of Nero and I went through all the steps to create the VCD, everything was working great until I went to burn the disc. It started to burn but the entire time it said that my CD writer was idil and about halfway through it said that it was unsuccessful. I've tried using nero and nero express and had the same problem. I am using an HP CD-Writer Plus 8200 series if that makes any difference. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
Simple answer. Don't use NEro. It wasn't really made for burning video cds. Instead, use VCDEasy (you can download a free version of the net. Search for it in Google.) You should not have any problems with this. If you do, then you are burning too fast. Lower the speed at whch the vcd is burned. Also, if you recieve error messages when starting VCDEasy, you might need to update your Codecs. I would be happy to email them to you if you want. If not you can search for and download them.
What i reckon is that nero is trying to encode and burn your file for you! Just cant do that, Nero is ok to burn but hello no its not ok to encode!! so check out http://www.afterdawn.com/articles
