Ok I've currently got a Rio Forge, but have already filled the 128mb and either need a memory card or upgrade to a new player. I didn't buy this one (given to me when my stepson bought a I-Pod mini) or i'd have bought a better one to begin with. I've decided against going the memory card route so i've got a descion to make. I won't be doing much exercising or other "rough" activities with it so I can go with the greater storage capacity you get with a hard drive over flash. I also would like something in the range of 5gb of storage. Now, onto the question I most need help with....the model to buy. There are primarily 3 Players I'm contemplating.(none of which are I-Pods for a reason!) The iRiver H10, Rio Carbon, and the Creative Zen Micro. I'm leaning towards the H10(love the looks of it!), but have read a few questionable comments regarding customer service, ease of use regarding the slide control, and lack of preloaded software. I havn't read any user reviews on the other 2 models yet, so mabey they have flaws too. What do you all recommend?? Feel free to recommend any other models that can compete with these and are in the 5GB range.
I just bought my Zen Micro about 2 weeks ago. I really like it alot. The only problem (If you can call it that) is the touch pad is sooooo... sensitive, almost to a fault!! It has a way to set it High, Medium,& low. I have mine set to Low. & it is still to sensitive. You can set the on/off switch to a locked position & the pad won't do anything. So, if you want to change the volume you have to reset the switch, kind of a drag. I upgraded my earbuds(I guess that's what there called) to some better ones for better bass response. All in all I pretty happy with my Micro though. Here's a link to there Forum Page. http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board?board.id=dap
After alot of research, I am leaning more towards the Zen Micro now. Seems like, if you take away the color screen of the H10, the Micro is a much better buy. Lower price & most of the same features. I also got to actually see them side by side at the local Staples here and liked the size of the Micro!
Yeah, I think You'll be very happy with it. Like I said though the touch pad Takes a little getting used to. Good Luck with whatever you decide on.
Ok what is the differnt between zen micro and zen xtra? Zen micro can hold about 5g and zen xtra can hold 20g and there about the same size and same prize? so can someone tell me what good is zen micro?
Tell me when you get if you're satisfied. I'm think to get H10 or zen micro, can't decide. Same space but quite big difference in price. H10 is 320€ and zen is 195€ in a local store (the biggest cpu-related store in scandinavia though ). My friend has a iriver player (5g I think, I'm not sure which one), he has these crappy little earplugs but the bass is still awesome! I have these expensive sennheiser headphones so sound quality should be good. I'm not even considering ipod, I have always walked against mainstream Well ipod mini's cost 15€ more and there's 1gb less memory. And it's apple, I must keep the competition alive!
i got two mp3 already one creative 20gb and one rca lyra 20gb both are alrite. if i'm u i will the new sony hdw thing i saw it @ best buy 350$ and online ecost.com or overstock.com it's around 280 trust me those are way better than the apples.
You probably mean those Sony NW-HD5* players. They say that battery lasts for 40hrs, how cool is that?
got a Creative Zen Jukebox delivered to my door for $285 US. 60 gigs of music, 14 hour battery life, and a very reliable unit. gotta love newegg.com and gotta love Creative.
auslander god 60gb creative is ugly as hell ok not saying u don't have taste or what maybe u're buying it because the enrmous storage and the reasonable price. other than that i think that player is ugly
Yeah, but I rather not import, mp3-players have huge VAT and other taxes, total about 30%. And they won't fit electric socket's or they do they aren't designed for 230v, so I would have to buy an adapter too -> mo' money. Well these sony players retail here at 280€, with 40hr batterylife and 20gb I might consider one of those. But I won't probably need even the 5gb so I shouldn´t pay that much for extra stuff I don't use. But 40hrs batterylife, sounds unreal really. All other players play max 15hrs but this almost triples that time. If only I could get that battery to my psp
common sense my ass. it's a personal preference. The ipod look is overrated. The Creative Zen Jukebox has an elegant and clean-cut look to it. Nope, i'm not from australia. From Barnhart, Missouri; currently residing in Hillsboro, Missouri. Auslander is a German/English term meaning "alien," "outlander," "stranger," "loner," and "outsider."
ok majority of people think ipod is cuter or better than creative that's y they buy the ipod instead of creative. plus sorry about the Austrialia thing.
i'm simply here to bring another perspective. gotta have a minority! yupps, people make that little aussie mistake here and there. let's just hope we added a new word to your vocabulary. ;-)
minority doesn't mean $hit that's y minority amount of people doesn't want bush to be president but that didn't stop him it's winner's take all ok
every now and then, the minority is right. and your bush statement proves it besides, without a minority, you have no diversity. without diversity, you have monotony. and monotony is boring.
