This is for a friend and not for me. Anyway, he has a DVD of various soccer highlights that only play in his computer and NOT DVD player. The four large files he has are .BUP, .VOB, .IFO, .DAT. I've read the guides posted on this site for converting programs but not all of them specify if these 4 files are able to be converted. Anyway, what programs do you all recommend? Are there any other detailed guides? I'm a complete noob when it comes to converting files (but not to DVDs--you can check me out on the DVD Shrink, -R, etc. forums). Thanks
I would suggest he tries VideoReDo. There's a long trial when you request a trial key- more than enough time to do whatever it takes to get his files playing on his DVD player. Import the VOBS (one at a time is best) to VideoReDo (VRD) and output to mpeg2. If there are any errors in the file VRD will fix them automatically and output a DVD-compliant mpeg. When they're all done he can join them using VRD too. The mpegs would then have to be re-authored (NOT re-encoded) to make a new DVD.
Awesome! That sounds really easy lol. Is this program on this site? I don't really have time to search (i'm at work).
