I just purchased a lightscribe burner. I am still playing with it to see what I can do. I wanted to burn the art from a DVD to a blank lightscribe. I know it will lose the color but I want to see what it will look like. Here is the problem. The art on the original DVD covers more of the disc that is available to be burned on the blank lightscribe disc. Basically I need to make the "hole" in the art in middle of the disc bigger without moving the outer edge. I am using Nero to burn the lightscribe image. I could just insert the disc art but I would lose some of the image (including the title). I would like to resize the image like you can with a square or rectangle. Essentially I want to make the inner "hole" larger by making the whole image smaller. Any suggestions. I have Photoshop if that will help.
I'm not sure I'm understanding your question - but I'll give it a shot. Resize your image in photoshop to 1407 x 1407 pixels. Don't forget to 'unsharpen' the image after you've resized it. Copy and paste it onto your dvd label in Nero. Don't worry about the inner hole of the dvd having part of the image covering it. When I did some dvd labels, I scanned them on my scanner and edited the image in paintshop, to remove the scanner noise with a morian pattern removal tool. Here's some examples of a few different style discs I did, including what you're looking for. http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/547370372xEECqQ
