Again, I think I need some new software. I've transfered some home movies from VHS to my Hard Drive. I've edited some down but some are 3 hours long. I thought I might try using DVD-DL discs so I get as high as possible picture rate since Duel Layer discs will hold more data than single layer.

But I want to choose where the layer transition is. Is there any software out there that will let me choose where to place the layer change? My current software does it automatically and it's in the middle of someone's speach which is kind of annoying, since DVD players have a slight pause when the layer Changes.

To answer your question, not that I am aware of.

The slight pause, that you speak of, is caused more by the software that the disk is burned with. What are you using? Nero version 6 (is known to have problems with layer breaks)? If you convert your finished project to an ISO and then burned with ImgBurn, I don't think you'd have this problem.
