Help: DVD-R is not read by a DVD±R/RW

    I have a Samsung DVD±R/RW drive. The software is Nero ( and InCD) version 6.

    When I insert a DVD+R in the drive, I receive a message "Please,insert a disc into the drive". Moreover, the dvd icon is transformed into a CD icon.

    Please, help.

    I have the same issue but with a lite on drive.

    The Nero version I own is OEM so can't see that it would be related to any kind of anti-piracy update, etc.

    Can anyone shed some light?

    first of all, try uninstalling Nero, then using Nero's Clean Tools to fully remove Nero, then reinstall Nero WITHOUT the horrid InCD program..
