help finding a good audio software

    can someone help me find a software that i can feed a wav format recording, that will elimanate static and or background voices. all i want to here is my profesor's voice. thanks in advance.

    That would be very sophisticated software. Your garden variety audio software like Audacity will eliminate static as well as wanted sound that 'looks' like static. But to take a single track and treat it like multiple tracks may not even exist in the commercial market because it is cheaper to just record to multiple tracks. I know this kind of technoloy is common on TV and in movies but Star Teck used teleportation in the 60s. That is not even possible. The entire US may not even generate the power needed to transport a man if it was possible to do so.

    I am sure the FBI and the CIA can do that kind of stuff. I am sure the software they use will not be found in shareware. I am also sure a great deal of skill is needed as well.

    If you are LD your college may have a note taking service I would look into that. In MD state funded colleges must provide the service if you can prove you are LD. They also provide expensive text reading software.
