Hi, my grandparents DVD player just began making this grinding noise whenever you close the tray/insert a DVD. I opened up the case and removed the DVD tray housing after watching what the problem was. There is a little disc thing on the top of the DVD drive that apparently keeps the inserted DVD against the drive motor. That is the problem. Im not sure if something is missing...but the drive motor rises and pushes against it and when it spins it grinds it. When a DVD is inserted it tries to spin it, but it gets jammed.

If pictures are needed, I will try to provide them.

Thanks for any help you can provide, I really appreciate it.
