Im trying to get FTP access to my softmodded xbox, from my computer using flashFXP. So I typed in my: IP:192.168.0.3 Password: xbox user name xbox But i still can't get a direct conection. I conected strait to my computer.
are you using a crossover cable straight from pc to xbox or are you going through a router or hub. if your using a crossover cable pc to xbox then try this FlashFXP Settings Ip- 192.168.0.3 username-xbox password-xbox port-21 Xbox Settings Ip-192.168.0.2 Subnet 255.255.255.0 Default-192.168.0.1
I am in the same situation. I have read the forum answers and followed. My Ip adress are the same as above. The only difference is I have a mod chip installed, but stuck at the MS dashboard. I cannot seem to be able to FTP past this point. What am I doing wrong?
make sure you have an ip set on your computer network card you can do this by goin to control pannel clickin on network connections then right clickin on the network that is the one connected to your xbox click on properties then click on internet protocol (tcp/ip) click properties and make sure that it has use the following ip address selected and have an ip address in the somthin like 192.168.0.3 if you need some pictures to show you how just post and i'll do it when i get home from work
nevermind i downloaded it for free so how to you use it? I have a ethernet (crossover) cable and it wants to know my ip address how do i find that out?
do this, go to start, connect to, then what ever you are connected to, right click on it and then click properties, then there is a scroll down bar, scroll all the way to the bottom and click on internet protocol (tcp/ip), then properties, then click the circle which says "Use the following IP Address", in the first box type in 192.168.0.4 and in the next box below it type in 255.255.255.0 and click ok and click ok again, now you are done with your computer... now for the xbox, go to system settings, system configuation, for the IP address type in 192.168.0.3 and for the first DNS Sever type in 192.168.0.4, then go to the botton hit save and exit and reboot the xbox, you are now done with your xbox.... now get the crossover cable and hook one end to the xbox and the other end to the PC, open FlashFXP and click the lighting bolt, type in 192.168.0.3 in the Server or URL,then xbox for username and xbox for password, CLICK CONNECT and you are looking at your xbox folders
Thanks ever so much, I finally got to ftp to my XBOX. I reburnt my SlaYer disc and it made all the difference. Hope I can help someone else in the future. Thanks again
