i have had my xbox modded for some time now with the unleashX dashboard, a couple of days ago i was going to take the softmod off so i could play on xbox live again but i realized that i had deleted the linux installer files for the "duel boot" feature i had installed on my xbox for when i wanted to uninstall the softmod. i put the files back on but when i use splinter cell to get back to the duel boot menu to uninstall it it asked me to install but gives me an error because it is trying to install unleashX back on my xbox before i can delete it but i already have it on their. I tried deleting my unleashX dashboard start-up off my harddrive using both just off the xbox using the ms dashboard (my unleashX dashboard allows me to access it but cannot connect to xbox live) and SmartFTP. when i delete it and restart my xbox it still comes up to the unleashX dashboard. i have been thinking of just formatting my xbox but i do not have a copy of the slayer's autoinstaller to restart my xbox back to normal once i delete everything. a friend of mine said it might be possible to use a crossover cable to link to one of my friend's xboxs, pulling all of the files off of there and putting them on my computer, then format my xbox then use the crossover cable to put all the necessary files onto my xbox once again so it is an unmodded xbox, i would like to know if that would work.if you could get me a download of the autoinstaller for the ms dashboard that would be greatly appreciated. this may not have been the place to post this but i really need some help getting my xbox back to normal because i want to get back on xbox live. my e-mail address is: skizzles00@yahoo.com if you want to e-mail me.
