ok here is my problem, about a month ago i tried to softmod my xbox with the stock hd in it, but when i was looking through the file explore on the unleash X dash i deleted some files on accident(OOPS)
so i got a friends xbox and got his working ms dash files and put them on my hd and got her back up and going, but when i tried logging in to xbox live it didn't connect, so as usual i trouble shot the network settings, and the everthing went through(cable connected, ip configured, dns configured) but on the last one(loging into xbl), a red x popped up and said something about the MTU setting in my router. so then i got my friends xbox WITH MY ACCOUNT on it and tried with his and if works fine so there for it has nothing to do with my router and no my account is not banned. so that is my problem if someone could please help me. THANKS

One thing you shouldn't have troubleshoot, another thing is you friends xbox modded also? You may not know it yet but your gonna get banned. Or also you might have deleted you eeprom which was your oringinal and then tried to restore with different one.

Yeah I know you have the eeprom but is it you oringinal or your friends. You can also try to uninstall softmod and then reinstall and see if that works.
