i need to do chenmistry homework and need to do this :- the question is. if 6.15g of Mg metal was added to excess Cu(II)SO solution, what mass of copper would be formed? please can u help me, maybe auslander or someother intellegent dude or dudette ( my word for females ) **edit** can u show working, because i need to show how i got the answer
chemistry was last year, but give me a minute and i'll see if i can remember. *edit* okay, you're going to have to think in terms of moles. you have one mole of Mg for every mole of Cu. once you have the molar weight, divide the 6.15 grams of Mg by it's molar weight. according to the chart i have with me, the molar weight of magnesium is 24.31 moles. that gives you 0.25298 moles. multiply that by the molar weight of copper (63.55 grams by my chart), and you get 16.07688 grams Cu. i think that's right, but (for your own good) double-check it. if you can't find another person, hit up a homework help websites somewhere. good luck.
BWAHAHAHA! darth darth darth...no one had any questions about flourescent lamps and what one can grow in one's closet, given the right fertilizer!
