    When booting up on my IBM thinkPad the f8 won't bring up my boolog screen and I have a bootdisk but won't work.

    i'm not sure about thinkpads but for my cpu i can arrange where the bios checks for a OS first before boot so try one of the other options (i believe under the name "setup") that way you don't have to worry about f8 ever again
