Can anyone give me advice on how to add or even create a menu that will allow a simple play button instead of going straight to the movie? I would also like to be able to add more than one movie to the disc and have the option of choosing which movie I would like to watch. What i do is convert an .avi file to an .iso image with xilisoft I know DVD Flick had this option but I believe Xilisoft is lacking it. Any good freeware out there to help me with this?? Also, how would I get this to interact with the iso image? Do i add it to be burnt to the disc as a file? I'm lost on this subject and would like some knowledge. Thanks in advance,
So, why not give the latest DVD Flick a try? It will create a DVD that will play the same way a commercial episodic DVD does. You will be able to choose each title you want to play, it will not jump to the first movie(unless you want it to and set it up that way). Don't think there is a better free software that does that, as good as DVD Flick does. The other way around, the long way is to use the software that was suggested in the other thread, convert all the avis to DVD and then use a DVD authoring tool to create a DVD with menu from all the converted AVIs. Impractical, if you ask me.
What version do you have. I tried the latest and still had a some "quality" issues. Set the rate to best and went for the 2nd pass and it didn't seem to help other than take longer.
Lazy me. I emailed Xilisoft's support about me wanting to add a menu to the begining of my movie. In return I got a nice screen shot of what I overlooked; the menu button, sure they are "predesigned" but you can put images into the background and put a title (or name it what you like). Here's the beautiful part: I download an rar file convert it (will work for rips) click the edit menu button and pick the format i want and edit to my liking and I have a movie (s) with a menu. This is perfect for wanting to put more than one movie per disc. For shareware, I got my monies worth.
