I got a hold of an XBOX from a friend of mine but it's PAL version. Can I convert to NTSC so I can play the games here in the USA ? If at all possible I would rather not open the XBOX console up. Thanking you in advance for any instructions.
Its best if you got this unit modded, you could softmod although you would need to see what your doing either via a PAL tv or some sort of convertor. If you add a chip to your system you can easily switch between pal and NTSC video modes. You can also play games from ALL regions then. If you do not feel comfortable opening up your console you can pay a professional to do it for you, most warranty their work for extended periods of time.
Get yourself a cheap multi-system VCR from ebay that way you could run the Xbox through it, or you'll need to get a multi-system TV {costly}, in order to play that Xbox.
