Help:HP PSC 500 All-In-One Printer not working

I never really needed help on computers before... But i cannot get this HP PSC 500 printer to work on Windows XP Pro. with a Asus P4P800S-X mobo. (It worked before, but changed mobo, n reformatted the computer) Saw alot of links to HP site, but couldnt get it to work. I tried using the drivers instlled to XP, that didnt work, tried downloading the drivers from HP n that didnt work. Googling, just shows alot of threads saying i cant get it to work, but not much answers.
