as rosco says...talk a little sense. if you want a someone to spend time in providing you with an answer, at least dedicate 2 minutes into making it clear and readable for all of us. i can appreciate if you aren't great at spelling, but do your best
Ok i think i decrypted some of your message!... You have 6 Floppy discs?? Why? What did you download off Microsoft's website? Are you trying to install Windows XP onto your laptop?
Rosco, the reason for the 6 floppys is that way back when, when XP was first released, the majority of computers did not have the capabiliy of booting from a CD drive. Microsoft posted the startup disks info on their website. The 6 floppys actually run the startup stuff you see before the main install window. I think that Elpitote thinks that the 6 floppys contain the entire XP OS. My guess is that he/she does not have an XP CD.
Yeah Granpa your wright! I predicted that he/she might have thought it was the full XP operating system on 6 Floppys....

Its OK, the language barrier is hard to cross, i couldnt imagine me writing in your language! : ) So... You have the XP CD.... If you go into your BIOS on the laptop you may be able to make your CD drive Bootable?... To get into your BIOS you usually his the "Del" key on your keyboard as soon as you turn your laptop on... It could also br the "F1" or "F2" key!! In the BIOS you should find your Boot order... 1st device, 2nd device, 3rd device.... Make your 1st device "CD ROM", 2nd device can be "FLOPPY" and the 3rd your "HARD DISC".... Now you can try and BOOT from the XP CD....

ahhh, I stand corrected on the not having an XP disk. As Rosco said, you may have a hardware problem. And don't worry about your English. It is fine. We can understand you, now. You just didn't give enough information before. Another guess here. It may be shutting down, because it can't find a valid hard drive. You might have to use a Win 98 or ME boot disk and fdisk to get rid of the partion(s) on the hard drive, then partition it with valid partitions. I had to do that when my HighPoint raid card killed all 4 partitions of my hard drive. The only way that I could load Windows XP was to use an ME boot disk and go through the fdisk process. As I said, this is just a guess.
how do i do tha ??? i mean the i have to install win 98 to partiton mi hd and then re install win xp ???? and what is me boot disk and fdisk i dont know ?? thx again all of u guysthx for help any body intrested in my trouble ?????? any suggestion are welcome !!!!! i am ready for try anything thx again for how reads the message thx
Just use your floppy disk or XP cd to reformat your hard drive. When starting your computer, press F2 to get to Setup, go to Boot and Boot Priority, then make boot from Floppy drive or CD/DVD-ROM drive your choice, and Hard Drive 3rd, etc. Restart your computer again with your Floppy disk inside your Floppy drive and go from there. Go here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;313348 and take note from it. Good luck and I hope you'll solve the problem in due time.
