You don't need a backup to fix your xbox there are ways around that
There are a couple of ways to fix your problem. What you did was either deleted something then you tried to re-install your mods and now it replaced your m$ dash with another evo-x. I did the same thing to fix it go to www.stewraaapes.tk and follow the tutorials. The entire site is devoted to helping people mod and fix their xbox's. I am one of the creators so go there and you will find help. If you have a problem you will have the e-mail, screen names, and xbl gametags of plenty of people to help you one on one.

I have just downloaded the M$ Dashboard from http://www.x-b-o-x.net/modules/mydownloads/ and want to put it back on my xbox i have an Unleash X dashboard My folders are C/E/X/Y/Z

    C:fonts/SID/Skin/Trainers/Config.xml/evox.ini/evoxdash.xbe/items.xml/msdash.xbe/xboxdash.xbe.

    E:Apps/Backup/CACHE/Games/TDATA/UDATA.

    X:hl2/LoaderMedia/version_235.txt/version_235.txt.mrk.

    Y: Nothing

    Z:fonts/cache000.map/cache001.map/player_configuration_cache.dat/preferences.dat.

Half Life 2 has been installed on my hard drive but i have deleted it from my hard drive i suspect the X folder has the remaining files left. If you could tell me what to do with the M$ Dashboard it would be a great help thanks.

What are in Apps and Backup on E drive?
You may have ms dash in Backup. if so, transfer it to C drive. Otherwise, Ftp the ms dash downloaded to C drive on Xbox. Overdrive the fonts folder and xboxdash.xbe

Yes. the backup is your ms dash. ftp all files and folders in the BAckup folder on E drive to C drive.

Do i remove whats in the C drive first before transfering the MS Dash? Because there is fonts/SID/Skin/Trainers/Config.xml/evox.ini/evoxdash.xbe/items.xml/msdash.xbe/xboxdash.xbe. in the C drive folder

Compare the fonts in C and the Backup. It should be same.

Compare the xboxdash.xbe on C and the Backup. It should be same size.

If so, delete both of them. Then copy everything from Backup on E to C drive.

DO NOT DELETE OTHER FILES AND FOLDERS ON C DRIVE.

What is MS in the BAckup?
